My name is Caleb Gauge. Last year, I had a brutal battle with Leukemia and got a second lease on life. After witnessing the incredible work Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) has done to keep me alive, I’m now on a mission to help save other blood cancer fighters and need your help.
I’m humbled to be nominated for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s “Man & Woman of the Year" campaign, a 10-week philanthropic competition to raise money for the mission of LLS. My friends and I formed Team Youngblood with a goal of $247,000 by June 7th. Honestly, it sounds crazy every time I type it. It’s gonna be hard as hell, but hey so is beating cancer right?!
Blood cancers do not discriminate. It affects kids, mothers, fathers, friends, the healthy and the young. Every 3 minutes someone in the U.S. is diagnosed with a blood cancer. LLS has been on the front lines of that fight, investing over $1 Billion into cancer research since 1949. In the past five years alone LLS has invested nearly $100 Million in AML - the disease I had! Without their tremendous work, I probably wouldn’t be alive today.
Help me and Team Youngblood reach our goal by making a generous donation to LLS in honor of my survivorship. These donations will go directly to saving lives just like mine.
